Monster Sturgeon

This monster 7ft. 6 inch sturgeon was found floating near the Upper Niagara River shore along River Road in the Town of Wheatfield by Tom Colley. The girth measured 39"! The fish was sent to Cornell University for examination and early reports says it did not die of botulism. Colley tried saving the fish and finally notified the DEC. It could not be rescued. The fish is estimated at being around 100 years old.
